Dorothy Fletcher

I am finally with the Lord,
after waiting so long.
The stroke finally brought me to Him, brought me home.
I lived a full life.
I brought up a successful son who has done well for himself,
and for his family.
I am so proud of him, and of my grandson.
I wish they had visited me more.
I just hope they find the Lord like I have.
My strength lives through my daughter and grandchildren.
They carry the pride that once burned inside me.
I am glad I escaped Madison though.
It made the struggle even tougher,
toohard to bear at times.
This is no place for anyone to grow up.
Me being with God now, I want my spirit to live on
forever so that I never truly perish.
I am underground, but as long as there is a Fletcher out there,
I am still alive.
