I bought a place up in
Minnesota, Bemidji to be
exact, so I could get away.
The tavern here was doing
well, and I wanted to
enjoy my favorite thing in the
world, fishing, more often.
The house was on a
hillside overlooking a lake,
and when the local indians
protested my moving so close
to their land, they burnt down
half of the trees on my property.
They were all arrested and
put in jail since they had
no money to pay bail.
Justice was served, and I
caught a 44" muskie that day.
Five years later I passed on,
leaving the house to my
only daughter, who I hope
still uses it today.
