Wanda Niedzwecki
I was born in France and lived in Poland.
I met my husband during the war and
We married.
We moved to America to gain our freedom
And to raise our children in a better place.
We had six children, you might say we were
Like the Brady Bunch.
Six boys and six girls.
We traveled.
Going to different countries was like a hobby.
Our children grew up and left us to do whatever
We wanted to do.
Our children had children and we got to watch
Them grow up.
My grandchildren were my heart and soul. Of
Course I had seventeen of them to keep me busy.
Even until the day I died, which was a painful day for
All who I loved, my grandchildren were near to me.
The last of my grandchildren to come and see me
Was my second oldest, but my favorite, Anya (Anna).
She came next to the bed in a gown and gloves and
I smiled at her.
When I smiled she had started to cry and turned away.
I know none of my loved ones liked seeing me like this.
On the day of my wake I was very happy to see hundreds
Of people come and pay respects. They were my true
Friends and the people nearest and dearest to me.
